Philip Haines
Originally a "techie" with a 1st Class Honours degree in Physics and Maths, Philip's early engineering career took him through designing, building and launching satellites to satellite operations, satellite sales, sales management, and finally general management. He has held senior executive positions with major corporates including:
- Eutelsat, 12 years in Paris most latterly as Head of Telecommunications Services
- GE Americom (now SES Americom), Director Satellite Services Europe
- NEWskies Satellites, Vice President European Sales
- TV Files, General Manager Corporate Market
A true believer in the power of convergence, at the beginning of 2001 Philip moved into full time consultancy and over the last five years has assisted a range of international clients ranging from start-ups to corporates. A particular speciality has been helping start-ups to secure public funding to support their initial development activities thereby preserving their own equity positions.
